Including License Numbers on PDF

Getting your contractor license number to show up on your invoices is easier than you might think! Once you set it up in your JobsPaid settings, it will automatically appear on every PDF invoice you create.

Setting Up Your License Number

  1. Open your JobsPaid app and tap Dashboard
  2. Navigate to Settings at the bottom of your screen
  3. Select License from the settings menu
  4. Enter your contractor license number in the designated field
  5. Make sure to include your state abbreviation (like "CA" for California)
  6. Tap Save to confirm your changes

That's it! Your license number will now automatically appear on all your invoice PDFs.

Where Your License Appears

Your license number will show up in the business information section of your invoices, typically near your company name and address. This ensures your customers can easily see you're a licensed professional, which builds trust and meets legal requirements in many states.

Updating Your License

If you need to change or update your license number:

  1. Go back to Settings > License
  2. Edit the license number field
  3. Tap Save

All future invoices will use the updated license number. Previously created invoices will keep their original information.

Checking Your Invoice PDF

To make sure everything looks right:

  1. Create a test invoice from Invoices > Create New
  2. Fill in basic customer and service details
  3. Tap Preview PDF to see how it will look
  4. Your license number should appear with your business information

Common Mistakes

Don't forget to include your state abbreviation with your license number - some states require this format for compliance.

Make sure your license number is current and active. Expired licenses can cause legal issues with your invoicing.

Remember that once you save your license in settings, it applies to ALL invoices automatically - you don't need to add it manually each time.
