Understanding Your Dashboard Stats

Your JobsPaid dashboard is like the command center of your business - it shows you the most important numbers at a glance. Let's walk through what each stat means so you can make smart decisions about your contracting business.

Revenue Overview

The big numbers at the top show your money flow:

  1. Total Revenue - This is all the money you've invoiced clients this month
  2. Outstanding - Money customers still owe you from unpaid invoices
  3. Paid This Month - Cash that actually hit your bank account
  4. Average Invoice - Your typical job value (total revenue divided by number of invoices)

Invoice Status Breakdown

The colorful boxes show where your invoices stand:

  1. Draft - Invoices you've started but haven't sent yet
  2. Sent - Invoices delivered to customers, waiting for payment
  3. Paid - Completed invoices where you've received payment
  4. Overdue - Invoices past their due date (these need attention!)

Quick Action Items

Your dashboard highlights what needs your attention:

  1. Check the Overdue count - follow up on these invoices first
  2. Review Outstanding amount - this is money coming your way
  3. Monitor your Average Invoice - is it growing over time?

Reading the Trends

Compare this month to last month. Are your numbers going up or down? Growing numbers in Total Revenue and Paid This Month mean your business is healthy. A growing Outstanding balance might mean you need to follow up more quickly with customers.

Common Mistakes

Don't panic if your Outstanding balance is high - this is normal if you just sent several invoices

Remember that Total Revenue isn't cash in hand - check Paid This Month for actual money received

A low Average Invoice might mean you're undercharging - consider raising your rates

The dashboard updates automatically, so check it weekly to stay on top of your business health.
