Connecting Your Bank Account to Stripe

To receive payments from your customers' cards, you need to link your bank account to Stripe. Here is how.

When you first connect Stripe through JobsPaid (Settings → Payments → Connect Stripe), Stripe will ask for your bank account details as part of the setup. This happens after identity verification.

You will need your:

Adding or Changing Your Bank Account After Setup

  1. Go to dashboard.stripe.com and log in to your Stripe account
  2. Click Settings in the left sidebar
  3. Go to Bank accounts and scheduling
  4. Add a new bank account or edit your existing one
  5. Verify the account (Stripe may send small test deposits)

Instant Verification (Plaid)

Stripe supports instant bank verification through Plaid. When prompted, you can log in to your online banking instead of entering account numbers manually. This is faster and more secure.

Supported Bank Account Types

Stripe supports checking accounts at any US bank or credit union. Savings accounts are supported but less common for business use. Prepaid debit cards and money transfer accounts (like PayPal or Cash App) are not supported.

How Long Before My Bank Account Is Verified?

Instant verification takes seconds. Manual verification (micro-deposits) takes 1–2 business days. You cannot receive payouts until your bank account is verified.
