Creating a Payment Link for an Invoice

A payment link lets your customer pay your invoice online with a credit or debit card. Here is how to create and share one.

Automatic Payment Links

If you have Stripe connected, JobsPaid automatically creates a payment link for every new invoice. You do not need to do anything — the link is included when you send the invoice.

Adding a Payment Link to an Existing Invoice

If you created an invoice before connecting Stripe, or if the link is missing:

  1. Open the invoice from Dashboard → Invoices
  2. Tap Add Payment Link (or the Stripe icon)
  3. JobsPaid generates the link automatically
  4. The invoice updates to include the link
  5. Resend the invoice to your customer

Sharing the Link Manually

Every invoice also has a public view link (jobspaid.ai/i/...). You can share this link directly with your customer via:

Link Expiry

Invoice view links are valid for 90 days from creation. Payment links remain valid as long as the invoice is unpaid.

If the Payment Link Button Is Missing

The pay button only appears when:

  1. Stripe is connected AND active, OR
  2. You have bank transfer information saved (Settings → Payments)

If neither is set up, customers see the invoice but cannot pay online. Go to Settings → Payments to fix this.
