Payment Link Is Not Working

When customers can't pay through your payment link, it's usually a quick fix. Let's walk through the most common solutions to get your payments flowing again.

Check Your Payment Link Status

  1. Open JobsPaid and go to Invoices
  2. Find the invoice with the payment issue
  3. Look at the status - it should show "Sent" or "Viewed"
  4. If it shows "Draft," click Send Invoice to activate the payment link

Verify the Link is Current

  1. Click on the problem invoice
  2. Scroll down to see when it was last sent
  3. If it's been more than 30 days, click Resend Invoice to generate a fresh link
  4. Copy the new payment link and test it yourself before sharing

Test Your Stripe Connection

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Click Integrations
  3. Check that Stripe shows as "Connected" with a green checkmark
  4. If it shows disconnected, click Connect Stripe and follow the setup steps

Send a New Payment Link

  1. Open the invoice that's having issues
  2. Click Send Invoice
  3. Choose to send via email or copy the link to text/WhatsApp
  4. Ask your customer to try the new link right away

Common Mistakes

Don't send screenshot images of invoices - customers need the actual clickable payment link to pay online.

Avoid sharing expired links. Payment links work best when used within a few days of sending.

Make sure your customer isn't using an outdated link from an old email or text message.

Check Your Customer's End

Sometimes the issue isn't your link - it might be:

Ask them to try on a different device or browser, or suggest they call their bank if the payment keeps getting declined.

Still Having Trouble?

If none of these steps work, the problem might be with your Stripe account settings. Contact JobsPaid support through the app - we can check your payment processing setup and help get everything working smoothly.
