Setting Up Stripe to Accept Payments

Follow these steps to connect Stripe and start accepting card payments on your invoices.

Before You Start

You will need:

• A smartphone or computer
• Your business name and address
• Your Social Security Number or EIN (for identity verification)
• Your bank account and routing number

Step-by-Step Setup

1. Go to Dashboard → Settings → Payments
2. Tap Connect Stripe
3. You will be redirected to Stripe's website
4. Choose Create a new Stripe account or Sign in if you already have one
5. Enter your business information, personal details, and bank account
6. Complete Stripe's identity verification (required by law)
7. Tap Authorize access to this account
8. You are redirected back to JobsPaid — your status will show Connected ✓

How Long Does Verification Take?

Most accounts are verified instantly. Occasionally, Stripe requests additional documents (takes 1–2 business days).

After Connecting

• All new invoices will automatically include a payment link
• Existing unpaid invoices can be updated with a link from the invoice detail page
• You will start receiving payouts to your bank account within 2 business days of each payment

Troubleshooting

If you see "Stripe connection failed," try logging out of Stripe completely in a separate tab, then start the connection process again. If issues persist, contact support@jobspaid.ai.
