Editing a Quote After Sending

Sometimes you need to make changes to a quote after you've already sent it to your customer. Don't worry - JobsPaid makes it easy to edit and resend your quote with just a few taps.

How to Edit a Sent Quote

  1. Open JobsPaid and tap Dashboard
  2. Select Quotes from the menu
  3. Find the quote you want to edit and tap on it
  4. Tap the Edit button at the top of the screen
  5. Make your changes to the quote details, items, or pricing
  6. Tap Save when you're finished with your edits
  7. Tap Send to resend the updated quote to your customer

The updated quote will automatically include a new quote number and timestamp, so your customer knows they're looking at the latest version.

What You Can Edit

You can change almost everything in your quote after sending:

Letting Your Customer Know

When you resend an edited quote, it's a good idea to give your customer a quick call or text to let them know an updated version is coming. This prevents confusion and shows you're being proactive about communication.

The new quote will have "REVISED" clearly marked at the top, and JobsPaid automatically tracks all versions in your quote history.

Common Mistakes

Don't forget to save your changes before trying to send - the app won't let you send unsaved edits, but it's easy to miss this step when you're in a hurry.

Remember that editing a quote creates a new version. Your customer will receive a fresh quote number, so make sure to reference the new number in any follow-up conversations.

If your customer has already accepted the original quote, you'll need to create a new quote instead of editing the accepted one.
