How to Create a Quote
Quotes (also called estimates) let you show customers what a job will cost before you start work. Here is how to create one in JobsPaid.
Via WhatsApp AI (Fastest)
Message the JobsPaid number (+1 906-999-7989):
"Quote for Maria Gonzalez 512-555-0177. Deck repair: replace 12 boards at $45 each, stain and seal $280, labor 6 hours at $75/hr. Total $1,230."
The AI creates the quote instantly and you can send it to Maria with a simple reply of SEND.
Via Dashboard (More Control)
- Go to Dashboard → Quotes → New Quote
- Select or add the customer
- Add line items (description, quantity, rate)
- Set the quote expiry date (default: 30 days)
- Add any notes (scope of work, exclusions, terms)
- Tap Save and Send or Save as Draft
What the Customer Receives
Your customer gets a text with a link to view the quote. The quote page shows:
- Your business name and logo
- All line items and prices
- Total amount
- Expiry date
- Accept and Decline buttons
After Customer Accepts
When the customer taps Accept, you get a notification. The quote status updates to Accepted. You can then convert it to an invoice in one tap.
Quote Validity Period
Quotes expire after 30 days by default. You can change the expiry in Settings → Quotes or on individual quotes.
