Downloading vs Sharing PDF
You can either download an invoice PDF to your device or share it directly with a customer. Here is the difference and when to use each.
Downloading the PDF
Downloading saves the PDF file to your device.
When to download:
- You need to email the invoice from your own email app
- You want to print a hard copy
- Your accountant needs the file
- You are keeping records offline
How to download:
- Open the invoice
- Tap Download PDF
- The file saves to your Downloads folder (Android) or Files app (iPhone)
Sharing the PDF Link
Instead of downloading a file, you can share a direct link to the invoice page.
When to share the link:
- Sending to a customer via WhatsApp, iMessage, or email
- The customer needs to view and pay online
- You want to avoid sending large file attachments
How to share the link:
- Open the invoice
- Tap Share Invoice Link (or copy the jobspaid.ai/i/... URL)
- Paste it into any messaging app
The customer opens the link in their browser — no app download required. They can view, pay, and download their own copy.
Sending Both
For the most professional experience, send the invoice link via WhatsApp or SMS AND have the PDF ready if the customer asks for a formal document. Most customers are happy with the link.
