How Customers Pay Your Invoice Online
Here is exactly what your customer experiences when they receive and pay your invoice.
What Your Customer Receives
When you send an invoice, your customer receives a text message with a link. The link opens a professional invoice page showing:
- Your business name and logo
- The job description and line items
- The total amount due
- A Pay Now button
The Payment Process (Customer Side)
- Customer taps the link in their text message
- The invoice page opens in their browser — no app download required
- They tap Pay Now
- They are taken to a secure Stripe checkout page
- They enter their credit or debit card details
- They tap Pay
- They see a confirmation screen and receive a payment receipt
The entire process takes about 60 seconds.
What Cards Are Accepted
Stripe accepts:
- Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover
- Apple Pay and Google Pay (on supported devices)
- Debit cards with a Visa or Mastercard logo
You Get Notified Immediately
When a customer pays, you receive a notification in JobsPaid and the invoice status updates to Paid automatically. No manual follow-up needed.
For Countries Without Stripe
In countries where Stripe Connect is not yet available, customers see bank transfer details and a "I Have Paid" button they can tap to notify you. You then confirm the payment from your dashboard.
