How Your Invoice PDF Is Generated
Every invoice in JobsPaid automatically generates a professional PDF. Here is how the process works and what is included.
Automatic Generation
When you create or send an invoice, JobsPaid generates the PDF in the background. By the time you tap "Download PDF," the file is ready instantly.
What the PDF Includes
Your PDF invoice contains:
- Your business header — Name, logo (if uploaded), phone number, address
- Invoice number — Sequential, formatted as INV-US-1001 (or your country prefix)
- Invoice date — The date the invoice was created
- Bill to — Customer name, phone, address
- Job site address (if entered)
- Line items table — Description, quantity, rate, amount for each item
- Subtotal, tax, total
- Payment terms (Net 30, etc.)
- Payment link (if Stripe is connected)
- Notes/terms (from your default settings or added manually)
- Your contractor license number (if entered in Settings)
- Footer — "⚡ Powered by JobsPaid.ai — AI invoicing for contractors"
PDF Filename
PDFs are named: JobsPaid - INV-US-1001.pdf
Receipt PDF
After payment is confirmed, a receipt PDF is also available — it includes the same information plus a green "PAID" stamp and payment date/method.
Customizing Your PDF
To change what appears on your PDFs, update your business profile in Settings. Logo, license number, default notes, and payment terms all appear on every invoice.
