Print-Ready vs Digital Invoice
JobsPaid generates invoices in two formats: a digital version (web page and link) and a print-ready PDF. Here is what each is and when to use them.
Digital Invoice (Web Page)
The digital invoice lives at a URL like jobspaid.ai/i/your-invoice-slug. It is:
- Interactive — customers can tap "Pay Now" to pay online
- Mobile-optimized — looks great on any screen size
- Shareable — just send the link via any app
- Always up-to-date — if you edit the invoice, the page updates
Best for: Sending to customers via WhatsApp, SMS, or email. Most customers in 2025 prefer this format.
Print-Ready PDF
The PDF version is a static document formatted for printing on standard paper (letter or A4). It is:
- Fixed layout — looks identical on every printer
- Downloadable — saved as a file to your device
- Printable — perfect for customers who want a paper copy
- Professional — branded with your logo, license number, and business info
Best for: Commercial clients who require printed invoices, customers who prefer paper, situations where you need to leave a physical document on-site.
How to Get the Print-Ready PDF
- Open the invoice
- Tap Download PDF
- Print from your device
Margins and Print Settings
The PDF is formatted with standard margins for letter-size paper (8.5" × 11"). When printing, select "Fit to page" or "No scaling" for the best result. Browser print headers and footers are automatically removed.
Receipt PDF
After a customer pays, a receipt PDF is also available. It is the same as the invoice PDF but includes a green PAID stamp with the payment date and method.
